The Net Zero Diaries

Behind the scenes of making my small business as environmentally sustainable as possible.

The Net Zero Diaries is part training, part experiment- all adventure.

I've set myself a goal: to make my work as environmentally sustainable as possible and hit Net Zero* by the end of 2026.

I’ll be sharing everything I learn over the next 6 months- the stuff that works and the stuff that definitely doesn't for small organisations.

You get to nose behind the scenes of my journey and take everything that’s useful for your own organisation. Including:

✅ The environmental policy and action plan that I create.

✅ Quick-read summaries of training and online environmental resources.

Templates or trackers I make for measuring and reducing environmental impact.

I'll be like the one in the group project that does all the work and you can rock up and copy whatever's helpful for your own work.

(*Greenpeace have a quick explanation of Net Zero but terms like this will all be explored and explained as part of the training)

How does it work?

I’ll share bite-sized resources as I create them over the next few months. You can check them out as I release them, or dive in and binge everything whenever you have time.

You’ll get:

⚽️ Kickoff Workshop (Live online- 12th June 10.30am): I’ll run through the plan, you can meet other organisations on their environmental journey, and we’ll get to grips with the basics. (things like the difference between "Net Zero" and "Carbon Neutral", why you need an action plan, not just a policy and why recycling is not the best starting point.)

📝 The Online Diary: A step-by-step "how-to" guide of my process. Every time I create a template, a tracker, or a policy, I’ll upload it for you to use.

🚀 Speedy Summaries: I’ll share jargon-free summaries of training and resources I find so you don't have to spend hours searching for the good stuff yourself.

📧 Email Alerts: You’ll get a quick ping every time something new is added to the diary between now and the end of the year.

🙋‍♀️ Q&As & Pop-up Sessions: As the journey develops, I’ll host Q&A sessions and share conversations with incredible people working in climate justice and environmental sustainability.

Is this for me?

You’ll fit right in if you run a CIC, small charity or community org and…

1. You’re starting out on your environmental journey: You know you need to do something about environmental stuff for your organisation but don't know where to begin.

2. You’re nosy: You want to see what a sustainability journey actually looks like in practice.

and/or

3. You’re ready to smash the system:
You’ve been on the protests, signed the petitions and you want to align the way you work with your values.

🎉 You get lifetime access to all resources, templates, and recordings- so you can dip in whenever suits you.

Who are you?

Hi, I’m Christina (she/her).

I work with charities, CICs and community orgs to make your work easier to manage and fund. There’s more about me here.

I have run and fundraised for many organisations, as well as setting up policies and procedures that actually work when you have limited staff, money and time.

I’ve delivered training and worked with hundreds of people on their organisation set up, governance, procedures and strategy. I have also worked on environmental projects and am on the board of a climate crisis campaign organisation. I do a lot in my personal life to reduce my impact on the environment and want to make sure this is core to how I work.

I'm big on jargon busting, and taking complicated topics and making them accessible and useful to small organisations.

When you run a non-profit, you’re often doing it all – and often by yourself. If that's you, then you’re in the right place. Get some support and your questions answered!

What about access?

If I share video resources with slides, any visual information in any slides will be repeated verbally. Any captions in any recordings are checked for clarity and accuracy by me, rather than just AI and the full transcript will be available. Zoom captioning will be enabled for any live online sessions.

The resources will be in text pdf but I can provide things as pure text doc if preferred. The templates are provided as Google sheets or docs and can be downloaded into Excel or a text based table if that works better for you. Contact me if you have any questions.
